Home-made bread pudding

Yes! I did this for 2morrow's pot luck event dekat office.

Thanks to mesra.net site for the recipe. Easy and yummy!! :D

Bahan-Bahan:
roti - i bungkus

susu cair - 1 tin

gula - ¾ tin susu *1/2 tin or lesser pun cukup. 3/4 manis sangat. or replace with brown sugar.
telur - 4 biji

mentega - 3 sudu makan *replace this with healthy butter for those yang on diet

Cara:
1. rendamkan roti dengan air suam separuh lembab

2. pukul telur, mentega dan gula sampai kembang

3. tuangkan adunan yang dipukul tadi kedalam roti. gaul sehingga sebati

4. kemudian masukkan susu cair dan gaul hingga sebati.

5 masukkan dalam acuan yang telah dilapik dengan kertas minyak

6. Kemudian kukus selama satu jam

7. setelah sejuk masukkan puding tersebut dalam peti ais

Today marks my 1 year plus in the bloggin' world.
I don't write much this year.
I am planning to improve the looks of my blog because it looks bored and soo plain.
I want to learn photoshop first so that my photos look better in this blog.
hahahah.. hope this is not another my "hot-hot chicken shit" thing.

Planned to eat Wendy's tapi macam melampau la pulak. In the end, I cooked fried kuey tiaw.

Malamnye after tarawikh, minum tea panas dengan biskut kering je.. huhuhuhu.. bersederhanalah ketika bulan puasa. Selamat menyambut ramadhan!

Nasi lemak oh Nasi lemak!

11pm last nite

me: ma.. esok pagi lepas anta Aishah tolong blikan nasi lemak monyet..

6:30am this morning

me: (i cudn't stop thinking of the nasi lemak after subuh prayers cos i haven't eaten the nasi lemak for quite sometime)


7:00am

me: (checking out my ma whether she is already out sending my sis to skool. When i see ma car is nowhere in porch i cont sleeping and feel so eager and at the same time excited that another 1 hour my mom will bring home my fav nasi lemak)

8:45am

me: (I wake up with my fav nasi lemak still in my mind and really makes me drool, I go straight to the kitchen and to my great dissappointment i see no familiar nasi lemak bungkus that i idam-idamkan and cravedkan. I see a polisterene with few bihun sticking out)

8:50 am
me: ma.. nasi lemak mana?
ma: nasi lemak monyet tutup pulak ari ni..dia balik kampung ada kenduri before puasa kot..
me: waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

I was on diet for the past 2 mnts and I was trying extreme hard to avoid eating nasi lemak or wat ever lemak in food I like and on the day I wanted to reward myself with my fav fattylicious nasi lemak.. the makcik tutup pulak.. telan airliur je la..waa.. waaa...


pssst:nasi lemak monyet here is not nasi lemak berlaukkan monyet.. hehehe. Since there are so many nasi lemak stalls in the neighborhood and the makcik's neighbor once had a monkey as a pet so we decided to call the nasik lemak as nasi lemak monyet. that was how the nasi lemak monyet has got its name..


the story is not ended yet and the nasi lemak unfortunate event continues during lunch time..




and guess what? I've never seen Village Park tutup during lunch and the day I wanted nasi
lemak sooo BAD the kedai closed. *sob* nasi lemak is one of my food-wishlist I have to have
before puasa. Food-wishlist before puasa is a must for me so that I won't crave for food i like during puasa. They are not just food okay, they are all my fav foods. teringat-ingat masa pose nanti Makruh! *sigh* i still have 4 days before puasa to have my nasi lemak.

Tok house in Baling, Kedah

Last week we balik kampung to tok's house in Baling, Kedah for kenduri before puasa.

Tok passed away of pancreatic cancer early this year if i am not mistaken.

And this was our first balik kampung since tok's funeral.

The house is not the same without tok. A bit quiet and not many cousins came and gathered as it used to be.

Now, since the kenduri was over last sunday and all of us headed back to city life,

tok house is empty again and this time I am not sure for how long..

Azim

It sadden me every time I look at this pic

The pic was taken in the afternoon after the funeral of arwah Uda.

Uda was my uncle and he passed away from lung cancer (non-smokers).

The kid on the left is Azim, 6 years old and the youngest son of arwah Uda.

Azim woke up later that afternoon and mentioned to his mak that Abah is going back soon to buy him lots of toys.

He was so happy because all the cousins, makcik and pakcik were there at his house.

I read somewhere that young children may deny death and interpret death as a separation and not a permanent condition.

I am sure Azim was hoping his dad will come back soon to play with him.

Death is final and permanent and it hurts to think that his hope or his wish to play with his dad would never happen.
